We will be flying out of Madrid in early July. Can anyone recommend a clean, family friendly hostel? We have teenagers.

Not sure of any near the airport. You might check on www.madridman.com There is a full list of hostals there for the city.
I would consider staying in the center of the city, via metro unless you are leaving Madrid on a very early flight. Will be more to see and do for sure. Hostal Accuplco , just a block off Gran Via is one block from the metro stop and close to many tourist sites. Good place and clean also.

Rick doesn't have any hotel recommendations near Madrid airport, probably for the reasons above. The Expres Aeropuerto bus runs all night, although the last stop is different between 23:30 and 6:00 a.m. (stops at Plaza de Cibeles instead or Atocha train station). A taxi to the airport costs 30-40 euros, but could be a good value for a family (of 4?).
