We (my wife and I) are heading to Spain for the first time in May...and need some advice/recommendations as it is our first trip to Spain..and no recent experience of European travel (Ex Saffers).
We land on Wednesday 9th and will drive down to Sos Del Ray, Catalico for two days - then want to head back close to Bilbao on the Friday and Saturday night - preferably outside the city and get public transport into the stadium and back on the Saturday - Finals day. I have checked accommodation prices in Bilbao for this time and they are exorbitant (my budget is approx £100/night)!
Sunday the thought is to drive to San Sebastian for three nights and return to Bilbao on Wednesday to fly back home (UK).
I thought of going straight to San Sebastian on the Friday - however, the journey into Bilbao for Saturday and back will be in excess of 3 hours one way? (Is this correct)?
Any advise/suggestions greatly appreciated.
