Hi Folks:
Do Americans need anything besides a passport to travel to Spain in Summer of 2025? Someone mentioned an ETIAS form? Is this true and if so how long does it take to apply and do I do it now or just before the trip?

ETIAS has not been implemented yet. If you do a google search you will see lots of press about it starting this date or that date and in fact, there is not a firm start date right now.

I went to the ETIAS website and it said the implementation was still in progress. I did enroll in the site keeping informed as to when it will be online.

Are you sure you were on the official ETIAS site and not on some 3rd party/scam website? I ask this because the official ETIAS website https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en doesn’t have an option to enroll on the site. When on the internet be very careful who you give your personal details to.
