I will be traveling to Spain in early June. I am seeing conflicting info regarding ETIAS. Do we need to enroll or is it not yet live for travel from US? Thanks for your help!

From the official website:
ETIAS will start operations in the last quarter of 2026.
No action is required from travellers at this point.
The European Union will inform about the specific date for the start of ETIAS several months prior to its launch.

I'm afraid you can't apply for something which doesn't exist yet.
Unfortunately there are unscrupulous folks who will prey on rumours and uninformed folks and try to sell them something they don't need or doesn't exist. Alphabet soup is the fraudster's friend.
If and when it is brought in the official government websites will be all over it. There won't be any missing it.

Given the EU has not yet been able to fully implement the EES system which is the precursor to ETIAS I would think that there is a high likelihood that the start date will be delayed from the current late 2026.
Whenever ETIAS is introduced there will immediately be lots of websites offering to help you get your approval for a considerable price above the standard one - be aware. It's happened with every other similar offering such as the UK ETA or the US ESTA.
