eSIMs activated but having trouble sending ID

Hi all - were sitting in the O’Hare airport and we have activated our eSIMs for Spain. The service is through Orange. My understanding is all numbers have to be registered and while they provide a link to do so, every time I try to upload a picture of my passport it gets rejected.

Does anyone know of there is a grace period to register? We will be in Spain until November 8th. (Meaning I hoping it will work and then we leave the country. 😁)

OR are we going to arrive to no service bc we haven’t been able to verify?

Thanks!

Not sure where you got your eSIM, but the one's that I've gotten, I did NOT have to send any other ID.
You normally get an SMS to register, but I've just ignored those, since I wasn't planning on keeping the number anyway.

After I scanned the QR code, it was good to go. All I had to do was to change my cellular settings once we were in EU, and it everything worked.

I had Orange as well for the one's that I've used in Spain and Greece.

We got them through eSIM holiday. I’m glad to know you also ignored the registration links. 😁 I guess worst case scenario if we get cut off while we are there, we can buy physical SIM cards.

Yeah...you should be good to go as long as your cell settings are turned on for your Orange eSIM.
It takes about 2-4 mins for the provisioning to complete once you turn on your cell signal.
Happy travels!

Well, it lasts 14 days without registration. So unless you absolutely need it longer, you don’t have to worry. And yes, someone recently registered successfully to keep the same telephone number for longer AFTER initially using it.

Just be aware the data/text/talk package disappears at 14 days regardless, so you would have to top up after that, if you need it..
