I just read an article that states the documentation needed to enter Spain. I states you must provide proof of finances for your length of stay which they list as cash, travel checks, credit cards. For the credit cards which is what we will be using mostly, they require a written statement for balances. It says they wont accept online statements. Does anyone have any personal knowledge of this?

Maybe you might need that if you are going to be in country for a length of time, but you don’t need any of that when going there on vacation; at least not as recent as June.

These are never asked for.
Well, very, very rarely, and only if immigration is pulling you over on some kind of suspicion.
You really don't have to worry about it.
