Enjoying El Palo and Malaga

My folks and I are enjoying the VRBO in El Palo managed by a local company. It has two bedrooms and bathrooms a kitchen and washer. The rooftop pool with views of the Mediterranean sea is amazing with a rooftop terrace.

I take the 3,8 and 11 buses that run frequently a minute walk from the apartment into town. I already saw the Picasso Museum,Alcazaba and Thyssen Gallery and walked along the promenade in El Palo.

Now I am having breakfast at 100 Montaquitos by the market listening to music and enjoying breakfast of jamon ibeeico and pate.

I am here with my folks for about 3 weeks living like a temporary local. I already found my home panderia and markets.

Since I was here as a teenager I am thinking to go to Madrid or another city for a few days.

Its an amazing experience to live like a local practicing my Spanish. People respond to me in Spanish.

Rick would be proud!

Sounds fabulous. We’re in Spain now on our way to cordoba. Thinking about a day trip to Malaga, would that be something you would recommend? We’re interested in the Picasso Museum, his house and anything else that would be enjoyable to visit as a day trip.

@cupcake - While I enjoyed Málaga, my two least favorite sites there were the Picasso museum and house. The house is really a gallery and doesn’t take long to see. The museum was ok, but his works were not my favorites. I enjoyed the museum in Barcelona much more. When we visited both sites it was international museum day and entrance was free. Had we had to pay I would have felt we wasted some money, especially for the house.
