EES experience at Madrid airport?

I am arriving very early in the morning at the Madrid airport on September 20 with another flight on Iberia Air to Porto, Portugal. I assume I will go through Passport Control upon arrival in Madrid. Can anyone comment on recent delays in EES at Madrid airport? I have about 2 hours before my flight to Porto. Thanks!

It depends on how many other flights arrive at the same time as yours as that's the primary reason for delays.

My wife arrived at Madrid yesterday and was through quite quickly however she has already undergone the EES procedure for Spain so they have all her biometric data (that should also mean that the other EU countries also have it but we know from experience that that isn't always the case).

No idea how good/bad it is, but it has a nice bar graphs showing when the high traffic hours are with subsequently longer processing times.

These look to be as good as anything else I have seen or read about that attempts to answer the "how long does it take?"

Hopefully the flight to Porto is part of a single ticket booking from "home"

I've passed through Madrid airport several times since the EES system was put in place. My connection times ranged from 60 minutes to 85 minutes. I never had a problem; the airport is well set up to facilitate the process for people with short connection times. Just make that known to Iberia ground staff as soon as you exit the plane. I'm not even sure that 2 hours qualifies as a short connection.

There’s no way thats anywhere near accurate. Anyone anywhere in the world can submit whatever number of people they “see” in line ahead of them.

The graphs look good though.
