Hello! We will be visiting Montjuic (Barcelona) in mid-April and had planned, per the RS guidebook, to buy lunch on the rooftop terrace bar/cafe at the Catalan Art Museum. However, upon further investigation of the MNAC website, I see that the cocktail bar does not open until May.
Does anyone know if one can still buy food on the rooftop terrace in April? If not, any recommendations for lunch on Montjuic? We will be there on a Saturday, if that makes a difference.

I don't know anything about the MNAC café schedule, but that may well be the only food source on Montjuic. Well, I guess there might be some fast-food thing inside the Poble Espanyol, but that would mean an entry fee.
There is a cafe on the ground floor, that should be open. I know it was open when we were there in October. Check out the floor plan.
Also, There is a restaurant on the 1st floor called Oleum that is a bit pricier. Look at Openings Times and Prices. It lists the hours for the Oleum as well as their menus.
There was a cafe open when I was there in March. The prices were reasonable - certainly better than the food trucks on the steps at the entrance, not to mention the better quality.
It’s a very casual cafe terrace, but fine for lunch on the run when the sun is shining. Great view across all of Barcelona to Tibidabo. I am sure it will be open. There is a more formal restaurant inside MNAC on the first floor.
Poble Sec, the area around Ave Parallel, running along the base of Montjuic may be an option.

Yes, I did see the pricier restaurant option on the museum's website, but I'm happy to hear there are other options!
