Eating in Barceloneta harbor area of Barcelona?

Any place in that area particularly good for seafood and waterfront views? Any opinions on safety in that area? Also, I want to see waterfront without getting caught up in cruise ship mania.

Instead of the area around la Barceloneta, whose waterfront restaurants are usually overpriced and touristy, why not try the Port Olímpic, which is about a 15 min walk north of la Barceloneta, it's a nice waterfront marina of small boats on one side and a sandy beach on the other. You will find more locals eating on the waterfront in this area.

One good waterfront seafood restaurant at the Port Olímpic is called La Barca del Salamanca. The place has a great (and reasonably priced) 3-course set lunch (Menu del Dia) during the weekdays which includes, a Paella, or Arroz Negro, or a Fideuà depending on what your order. I went back there a couple of months ago and the place still holds up. Ask for a table outside, if the weather is good.
