Eating in Barcelona on 25 December

Hi everyone, we are visiting Barcelona from 25 to 31 December and staying in an apartment, so we won't have a hotel restaurant to rely on for dinner on the 25th. Does anyone know of a hotel or a restaurant in the Born area that would be open for dinner on 25 December? It doesn't need to be fancy or special; it just needs to provide sustenance. (If there isn't one, we'll be reduced to buying food at the airport--help!) Thanks.

There are plenty that open that day, just look http://www.bcnrestaurantes.com/eng, insert the date and voilà...

However, whichever you finally choose, do double check with them they'll indeed be open on the 25th and that they do have availability.

For info, be in this website or another, do check for La Ribera to focus on the area near El Born as this is just the name of a short boulevard. The neighbourhood is called La Ribera and the district is Ciutat Vella.

Thanks! I was surprised at how many restaurants were open for dinner on the 25th! I made a reservation at a place that looks great. Thanks for the link!

Traditionally, Catalan families gather for lunch on Christmas day and there are those that celebrate at home and those that prefer to avoid the cooking and go to a restaurant, that's why there are so many open. It's quite different on Christmas dinner, there your range of options .-while still quite decent- is far shorter.
