What is the easiest transportation to the monuments section in Park Guell from Sagrada Familia: metro, bus, taxi?
The easiest is a taxi of course.
Or you can use the metro:
L5 direction Vall d'Hebron/Cornellà
then after 2 stops get off at the Diagonal station and transfer to the:
L3 direction Zona Universitària/Trinitat Nova
get off at Lasseps station or Vallcarca (probably a bit closer), and walk a bit uphill to the park (that's why the taxi is easier).
Nope... the easiest and cheapest is by far bus #24. You can catch it in Plaça Catalunya or anywhere in Passeig de Gràcia and will take you to the eastern gate of the park, in Carretera del Carmel. The stop is just in front of the east entrance. Furthermore, this entrance into the park is flat, contrary to the main one, which has a set of stairs to climb! The "metro to Lesseps or to Vallcarca" solution is a nonsense that the Tourism Board keeps pushing because after the metro there's a long way uphill to the park. The "eastern solution" is far better, yet many tourist don't know it.
We took a cab up.....9 euros...and really enjoyed the walk back down at a leisurely pace. Beautiful neighborhood to walk through.
Thank you everyone. Took a cab to the del Carmel entrance. All worked out well.
