Hi, I’m traveling to Spain in January (Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla). I arrive in Madrid on Jan. 5 at 8 am and will take the train to Cordoba the next day. I anticipate resting during the first day but want to have the option of watching one of Madrid’s parades that evening. I am comfortable with that not happening.
Given the 6th is Dia de los Reyes, I have some questions:
- For accommodations, what neighborhood(s) will be convenient if we want to see some of the Reyes Magos celebrations on the 5th?
- Since the parades don’t happen until dusk I figure we might catch one. Anyone have a favorite cabalgata?
- Should we stay near the train station instead? Haven’t booked a ticket yet so that timing is flexible.
- What food places will be open? The 5th I’m guessing will be fine but the 6th is more of a family at home day. I worry that while Madrid might have options, Cordoba might not.
Thanks all!
