Hello, We are considering renting a car and driving from Barcelona down the Mediterranean coast to Granada. We have about 3 days, 2 nights. Any great places to see along the way? Or would you recommend just flying to Granada to the southern part of Spain (Granada, Ronda, Gibraltar, beach town?, then up to Sevilla).

How much time would you have for this? If you can spend 3 nights on the way, I would go for it, but otherwise you might as well just fly or take the train.
We have a couple of days. We were hoping to spend time in Ronda, Sevilla and Granada. 2 nights each. That leaves us about 2 nights and 3 days to get to Granada from Barcelona.

Then I would rather spend a third or even a fourth night in Sevilla, which deserves more than just one full day. If you make it four nights, you have time for a day trip to lovely Cordoba.
Or, you could spend a night in Cordoba and three in Seville.
So, either:
Barcelona-Granada (fly or train) 2 nights
Granada-Ronda (car) 2 nights
Ronda-Sevilla (car) 4 nights
or:
Barcelona-Córdoba (train) 1 night
Córdoba-Granada (bus or train) 2 nights
Granada-Ronda as above
Ronda-Sevilla 3 nights
Two nights is a bit short in Granada, but the biggest issue is the idea of spending only two nights in Seville. It's a sizable city with a lot of interesting sights well scattered. I'd suggest four night there. I can't imagine Gibraltar remotely compares unless you have a family-history reason to include it.
