Do I need proof of recovery?

Hi Guys, I wondering if anyone can help.

I'm hopefully flying from UK to Span on 10th June and although IO have read the government tarvel advice I'm still a little unclear!

I have had two Covid vaccinations one in March 2021 and one in June 2021 but I tested positive for covid in May 2022.

Do I need to show proof of recovery as well as my vaccination status or can i just use my vaccination records?

Thanks!

To get back to the US from your trip, I would say get a Letter of Recovery (make sure to include all the info the CDC says to have on the letter) before you go so you would NOT have to test on your return trip. My understanding is that the you can get a letter of recovery for a timeframe of 90 days from your positive test.

I'm reading that you're asking about entering Spain. If so, without a booster, your vaccinations are only accepted if they are less than 270 days from your last shot. If you get a booster, you can just show your vaccination card. Without a booster, you will need a Certificate of Recovery.

So, either get a booster shot (and have them fill in your CDC card) or get a certificate of recovery.
