DNI needed for cave tour tickets ( online) is there a way to book without?

I saw someone had asked this same question. Trying to book Cuevas tour online ahead of our visit to Cantabria area. The official site requires DNI to book. Is there a way to book in advance without a DNI?

I may be leading you astray, but I believe that we (from the USA) used our passport numbers.
