Deutsche Bank ATMs in Barcelona

I've looked online for the Deutsche Bank's locations in the Gothic and el Eixample neighborhoods. Can I assume there will be an ATM at these locations? What about at the airport? My US bank offers fee-free ATM transactions in Spain at DB.

ATMs are everywhere and will be in those neighborhoods. Who owns them is another question. Even if you have to pay a fee it will not be unusually expensive. Everyone should have a debit card that is not dependent on certain ATMs.

I don't know the answer to that question, but if your bank is Bank of America (as is mine), you should be aware that the use of banks within their Global Alliance (I think that's what they call it), like Deutsche Bank only saves you the $5 fee but not the 3% foreign transaction fee. Up until a few years ago it used to be totally free.

There is an ATM on Passeig de Gracia or at least there was when I was there. Don't know about the others, but I would think every Deutsche Bank branch in Barcelona has an ATM.

I can tell you that the CX bank and Caixa Bank ATMs charge fees. CX charges a percentage (I think 4% to 5%) and Caixa charges a flat 5 euros--at least that's what I saw when I attempted to make small withdrawals. BBVA and Santander are among the banks in Barcelona whose ATMs did not charge fees as of August.

What happens when your bank does the conversion, I cannot vouch for.

Banks want you to use the ATMs, not to come in and bug them, so I expect every bank branch to have one.
