Day Wine Trips

Hello- Can anyone help me with planning a for-the-day excursion to wineries from either Sevilla or Granada. We plan to drink, not drive. A site called "Trippy Vines" goes to Ronda from Malaga, but not from Sevilla. Any suggestions of other good, reasonably priced tours that people have tried would be helpful. Thank You.

From Sevilla a natural is a day trip to Jerez. Jerez is the only place in Spain we found that had drop-in Bodegas - regular tours for the public without reservations. Everywhere else you had to let them know you are coming a day or, preferably, two in advance. You can bus or train from Seville to Jerez easily.

Jerez is Spanish for sherry and that's what they make. They make a variety from dry, fino, to very sweet almost dessert Sherries. In a way sherry makes perfect sense when you're in Spain - otherwise I prefer a good red wine (Valdepenas area make my favorites).

Granada isn't really close to the good wine areas (two up north, Rioja and Ribera del Duero, and Valdepenas are the ones I think of for Spanish reds).

There are also wine museums in the major wine centers. They are open regular, if limited, hours and have wine bars where you can try the local wines.

Thank you both for the replies. I am not interested in a personal wine tour, but possibly a group wine tour with lunch included.I have seen some trips listed on line , but most are more exclusive than what I have in mind. The idea is to enjoy a drive in the country as much as it is to taste wine . I would rather spend the money in a wine bar sampling many wines than spending too much on a boutique winery experience. The trip from Malaga to Ronda by "Trippy Vines" is in the line of what I am looking for. Thank you again
