I'm in Barcelona for a month (I'm about half-way through my stay here) and I'm looking for ideas for day trips to occupy my time. I've been to Montserrat and Tarragona already, and those are approximately the distance that I'd be willing to travel (1 hour each way, could go to 1.5 hours). I'm also trying to keep to the regional trains (not AVE) for budget reasons. I'm not sure if Sitges is a good fit, because I'm not a huge beach person, and I've thought about Figueres, but don't know if it's worth it for one Dali museum. Other ideas? I'm looking at Girona as a possibility. I'm most interested in architecture and historical sights. Thanks for all your suggestions!!!
Have a peek at some ideas...

Girona and Besalo!
I was in Barcelona in January 2015 and took a day trip to Figueres. If you are interested in Dali the museum is a pilgrimage experience. But besides the museum and a fantastic cider bar, there is very little to do in sleepy Figueres!
