We will be in Spain late May/early June. 3 nights Madrid, 3 nights Seville, 2 nights Granada, 4 nights Barcelona. We will not have a car - taking trains and Veuling to get around. Are there any organized excursions from Seville to Tangier? I would like to hire VIP guide (as RS suggests) for our family of 3 once we arrive in Morroco. Perhaps this is not feasible but thought I"d check with you experts. I know Tangier is not really Morocco -- I just thought it would be an interesting adventure.
Your itinerary sounds well balanced without Tangier and I think you don't have time to add it. The easiest point for catching a ferry to Tangier is Tarifa. From Sevilla to Tarifa by direct bus takes about 3 hours. You can't do it all in one day, so you'd end up sleeping overnight in either Tarifa or Tangier, before moving on to Granada. Tangier is a great cultural and people-watching experience, but the Moorish architecture is more regal in Seville and Granada.
Thanks for the input. I think I will stick to our itinerary!
Yes, there are companies that sell day trips to Tangier, and yes, Tangier is Morocco! I enjoyed the day trip, and honestly wouldn't have stayed longer! You can probably organize this when you get here. I agree with previous comment though, you have a lot already planned in the short time you are here.
I would recommend you fly into Madrid and out of Barcelona, or the other way around. That will save you a lot of time backtracking.
I fly to Barcelona from Malaga on Vueling, it was cheap and quick!
Thanks! I think I"ll save Morocco for another trip!
