Day trip from Spain to Morocco

Are there any good tour companies that do a one or two day trip to anywhere in Morocco? From which Spanish cities would they go from?

I don’t have personal experience with a specific company offering quick tours to Morocco from Spain, but think you’re better off booking a tour once you’re in Morocco in a city worth visiting, such as Marrakech. Flying to Marrakech from Madrid takes two hours with flights available for as little as €30 when booked in advance. While there are Spanish ferries in Algeciras and Tarifa, Spain that boat to Tangiers, Morocco in one hour, many equate visiting Tangiers to see what Morocco is like with visiting Tijuana to see what Mexico is like. The cultural experience you’d have in Marrakech would be much more authentic. And Marrakech is the kind of place that’s worth staying a night or two.
There are plenty of walking tours of Marrakech on offer. And www.GetYourGuide.com will give you an idea of what you can see while you’re there.
Have a great trip!

There are day trips from Seville to Tangier. We didn't go on one as there was plenty to see and do in Seville.

The most common is to take the ferry for Tangier. It is almost always discouraged on the Forum.

  1. There's not much reason to go to the area around the ferry - not much to see or do - and it takes hours to get there from, say, Sevilla. In the end you use up the better part of 2 full days for a few hours in Tangiers.
  2. Tangier is to Morocco something like Tijuana or Juarez is to Mexico. I looked at several good tour companies for a 10-14 day tour of Morocco. None went to Tangier.
  3. There are flights from a few Spanish cities to a few Moroccan cities. The best two are Fez and Marakech. Either is worth 2 full days. The best way to find flights is to go to each city's airport wiki page and scroll down to the table listing all the airlines and destination cities.
    1. Morocco is a wonderful tourist destination with lots of variety and color. The sights are not close together and transportation is slow. Plan a separate trip to Morocco. There's too much to see in Spain, no matter how much time you have there.
