Day trip from Spain to Morocco

Has anyone had a recent good experience with a tour guide or tour company?
I have the RS guidebook recomendations, but would like to hear about the experience from someone who has been recently.
Thanks-
Nan

Nan,
I have never made the trek to Moracco or Morocco or any destination with a similar pronunciation (Well, I have been to Monaco....).
However, RS has a great video for visiting "M" as a DIY.
Enjoy!

Nan, there is a man named Darren Humphreys who sometimes posts here. He is an expert on Morocco (and South Africa, I think). If you google his name I think you will find contact information and he can advise re tours, etc.

I went to Tangier (which is Morocco by the way) last year on a day trip. I was staying in Torremolinos and there was a travel agency that booked day trips. I went by myself, met 2 other young woman going with the same company and we 3 toured the city together with the guide. Had a great time, would not do it without a guide and I wouldn't have spent more time there. You can book when you get here as they go every day. As I recall, it wasn't very expensive.

I don't remember the name of the company, but there were only 2 that offered this tour and both were very reputable.

Nan, when are you going? I'm going in May, and I've arranged a guide through the (RS's recommended) hotel we're staying at. It's one of the owners, Aziz Begdouri of La Maison Blanche - he does tours and his wife Pilar seems to be the main contact at the hotel. Obviously, not having done this yet, I can't really recommend him, but if you're not traveling until after I get back, I'd be happy to let you know how it went.

Whomever you use, I recommend being as clear as possible at the start about what you want to include. Along the way, ask plenty of questions if you have them. Some guides have plenty to say but need prompting.
