I will be visiting the Dali Museum on Sept 6 and rented a private car to take me there. I checked the Dali website and they sell tickets, but the only time listed is for 11 am admission. Group ticket sales list a start time of 9:00 am. I will arrive at 9:30 am. Can I purchase an admission ticket onsite? What is the possibility that it will be sold-out or that I will be unable to buy a ticket for early admission? Should I just purchase the 11 am admission ticket online and wait the 1.5 hours until I can get in? If I buy the 11 am admission ticket online, can I exchange it onsite for an early admission ticket?

Have you tried calling for a ticket? Lots of European museums have limited tickets on line but more options when you call. Try that first.

You can certainly buy tickets at the door. I doubt they would be sold out in September when arriving in the morning. We visited in late May (shoulder season) and walked up in the morning for tickets. It was about a 30 minute wait in line.
