We will be taking number of day trips out of Valencia in February, some of which will require a car. I've never rented for a day. I've used Europcar before for longer term rentals. Are daily rentals done in Spain? any other suggestions?

Usually 1 day rentals are substantially more expensive than longer periods. AutoEurope, highly recommended on this site, has a 3 day minimum. Can you consolidate your day trips on successive days to take advantage of that. Even if you use the car for 3 out of 5 days, a five day rental might be=more economical than 3 one day rentals.

I checked AutoEurope's web site yesterday for a day rental out of Seville and it was permitted for just one day. It was about $60 for a compact car.
