Customs / Airport lockers?

In 3 weeks we're taking our first trip to Spain, and only our second trip outside of US in 15 years.

Our destination is Sevilla, but first we stop over in Madrid for about 2 1/2 hours, change plans, and then fly to SVQ Sevilla. We are doing AirBnB for the first time (lots of firsts for us), and we need to give our host an estimated arrival time at the apartment. It would help me estimate the time if I knew whether we go through customs in Madrid when we change planes, or if we do so in Sevilla, our final destination. If we go through customs in Sevilla, about how long does that take?

Also, we may be in the position of needing to store our luggage for 3 hours. Are there lockers at the airport SVQ Sevilla? Or the train station?

You will go through passport control & customs at your arrival airport in Spain which in your case is at the Madrid Barajas Airport.

I don't know if there is a left luggage facility at the airport in Sevilla, but there is a left luggage facility at the Sevilla Santa Justa train station. Here is a map of Santa Justa's train station, you'll find the left luggage ( Consigna) at #35 (green) in the diagram.

You might as well give your host your flight schedule, as well, so they can make their own educated guess at timing, or check flight status online.

Hosts asked that we give them an estimated check in time in advance. (Though I may forward our flight # in case we're hours late.) Thanks. JR

There is a luggage storage called Drop&Discover Sevilla near Prado de San Sebastian (near Plaza de España and Real Alcazar). They don´t have lockers, it´s a staffed storage service. In my opinion much better then lockers that don´t have service at all.

Very recommendable.
