Curent weather?

Hi guys, I am going to Barcelona for my 10 year wedding anniversary next week (starting on Tuesday 4/30) and it looks like rain everyday. :( :( Has it been raining currently? what is the weather like this week so far? I have been reviewing weather.com everyday....I am really hoping for mid to upper 60s and 70s and sunshine.

I think I understand what you’re looking for. We leave tomorrow and the forecast shows rain every day for the 6 days we’re in Barcelona, but it’s hard to know exactly what that means - light showers at night or drenching rain all day? I know there has been a terrible drought so the rain is welcome, it just means that personally I need to rethink how we plan to get around each day. I’m thinking I’ll need to make sure I know what buses and metro routes to use instead of just walking if it’s raining.

Thanks Patty! Yes, exactly what I mean. I am fine with showers here and there but do not want down pour everyday on our anniversary and since we have never been to Barcelona! :) Thank you!

Spain’s weather forecasters are no better than those in the states. When I see rain in a forecast I assume it will be sporadic rain and not a total wash out. When it will rain is also an unknown. Unfortunately, until you’re there you won’t know for certain. When visiting the UK I assume it will rain at some time during the day. In Spain, I assume it will be mostly sunny most of the time.

We are in Spain now, but closer to the Malaga area. The weather has been dry, temps in the 60's and 70's, overall, very nice.

But each day in the last two weeks, predictions have been for cooler and cloudier weather, but except for one day, the weather forecast has been wrong, we joke that the forecasters are just pessimistic. Can't say you will experience the same.

However, do keep in mind, on a coast, predictions of rain usually mean morning or afternoon, not all day, though the area could use the rain, so do not complain too loudly if it rains, or praise the rainless weather when there.

It's a shame if it rains but since Barcelona has (and probably still is) suffering from a severe drought, rain is very much needed in the area. I hope you enjoy your anniversary.

I don’t know how long you are staying in Barcelona, but it’s looking like you may get some high 60’s. High for today was mid-60s and no rain even though it predicted 40%. I wore a light jacket and was comfortable. It looks like lots of rain tomorrow but there are some clear spots next week.
