Cuenca, Spain -Hotel or b&b

Any recommendation for Cuenca Old Town hotel or b&b stay. I was able to book the Parador for one night, but they are booked full for the next night, so I am looking for 1 night, late June.

Thanks ahead

It looks like we don't have many people on the forum who've stayed in Cuenca, and you're out of my price range, so the best I can offer is a [link to booking.com]1, which has a good number of highly-rated options, given Cuenca's modest size. You'll need to adjust the dates to fit your schedule, and you can set whatever filters you like. Check out the reviews. If you find a place that sounds good, you can probably find its website via Google.

You might take a look at the Hotel Convento del Giraldo, which seems to be an historic property. Note, though, that a taxi would probably have to take you all the way down to the center of town, then back up to the Convento. The direct path between the two is an elevated footbridge, as I recall, and I think you'd then have a good bit of uphill walking once across the bridge.

I'd book a cancellable room and keep checking with the parador in hopes of a cancellation.

You’ll love the parador. We stayed there for a couple nights a few years ago. Just outside is the bridge across the gorge and a nice view of the hanging houses. It’s a very short walk to the main plaza and historic area. If you purchased it, breakfasts at paradors are fantastic.
