We're not big on churches and museums. Any recommendations for sights on a day trip to Palma Majorca?
It has been a few years but as I remember it reminded me a little of Miami - palm trees, streets, etc. I think we took a little hop on/off train. There was a rather large fort/castle on top of the city with great views. Some interesting sides streets and shops. And a nice lunch along the way. As I remember it was not high on my list of repeat visits but enough for a one day stop. We did a lot of walking around.
We stopped in PM last year on our NCL Epic cruise. It is a beautiful place. Probably not a place i would have planned to visit specifically in the first instance. However having visited, i would love to go back.
You take a bus from the port to the town. There is a beach by the bus stop, if you just want to relax. Also there was a street market nearby that sold souvenirs and food.
The major building at the the top which dominates the skyline is a church. We walked up, but by that time of the trip did not care for going inside another one. Very walkable town and pleasant town. There were excursions to see sites, but we did not bother.
Thank you both! Very helpful.
We were there a few months ago on the Transatlantic cruise. I believe we booked a private tour and it was a wonderful day. Check the port threads out on cruise critic for ideas.

This board is not noted for cruise information. We did stop there on a Windstar cruise, and found the old town more rewarding than many small Mediterranean islands. The port is definitely not walkable from town. You said you don't care for churches, but the Cathedral was good. I'm always surprised how many NYC tourists make St. Patrick's a must - most European Cathedrals are better! Perhaps the internet can get you a lunch suggestion, so you can refuse the touts outside the more touristy places.
