Cruise from Barcelona to Genoa via MSC

My fiance and I are traveling to Barcelona in September and plan on staying a few days. He's interested in taking a MSC cruise from Barcelona to Geona then traveling over to Florence for a few days. Has anyone taken an MSC cruise or one like? If so, what did you think? Thank you!

Confirm that you can do this. You would only be on the ship for 2 nights. I am thinking it would be expensive, as they would charge you for the lost revenue of the cabin for the remaining 6 nights of the cruise, which returns to Barcelona. You might look at cruise critic for details and revues.

Hi Sam. They have a two day/one night cruise we are looking at. Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at it now.

Found this blurb about MSC: "Paradiso says that the average passenger age on MSC Cruise’s ships is 45, lower than the industry average of 55. The company’s technology and high-tech entertainment options, such as interactive slide-boarding in the aqua park, the 5D cinema and real Formula One car simulator is also designed to attract a younger audience." So sounds like more of a younger, goodtimes crowd. I would totally take the 1-2 day one you mention. It seems like a relaxing way to cross the Med as opposed to a train, and if you hate it, well, it's only a short cruise so it will be done soon, and if you love it, great - you can book another MSC in the future!
