We are leaving Spain at 12 noon on a sunday .. what is requirement time limit for getting test results needed to enter the U.S.?
is it 24 hours prior to flight departure /48 or 72 ?
24 hours for anyone from anywhere
It's not 24 hours, it's 1 day before. So it you were leaving tomorrow May 22nd, for example, your test would need to be taken anytime today, May 21st.
Air passengers (2 years or older): Before boarding a flight to the United States, you must show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel or Documentation of Recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days.

You can test anytime the day before your flight or even the day of your flight if you so choose. Day of is a bit risky for trying to make alternate arrangements if you test positive. We plan to do self tests a time or two during the last week of our trip unless we should have some symptoms appear sooner.
Thank you everyone ! as usual RS peeps always have the right answer!!!
