I will be in Oviedo middle of October and interested in going on day trip to Covadonga to see the basilica and cave. I am not driving, not hiring a car.
ALSA bus is one option but I do not know how to get to the site itself.
Has anyone done this trip? Recommendations please. Thank you.

Take a look at the bus stops shown on Google maps. One that's lower in the town (I assume this is a hill) indicates three bus lines and there are some stops further up that one bus appears to serve.
