Hello and thank you in advance.
My wife and I will be flying to Malaga in March from Paris. Haven’t been to that coast since the 70s
Looking for two towns to stay in for 4-5 days each. I keep hearing conflicting reports on Malaga
We’re well travelled young seniors from Canada ,would love to hear suggestions on where to base. When travelling in Italy we tend to like the smaller quainter towns. We will have a car . I haven’t been able to locate previous post on this topic and apologies if it’s been asked numerous times
Gracias
I spent April and a few days in early May in Andalucia in 2019, including a few nights in Malaga. I like staying in places of some size where there are sights to be seen and good transportation connections to smaller towns in the area. I believe everyone on the forum who has been to Malaga in recent years has liked it.
I assume you've already been to Seville, Cordoba and Granada, cities with more, and more-important, sights than Malaga. Granada might be a little cooler than Malaga because of its altitude, but the other two are usually pleasant in the winter and have higher average daily high temperatures than Malaga in March.
Thanks Acraven.
Appreciate your input. Yes we’ve done the places you mentioned and loved it but it was warmer climates. So as we’re not planning on sitting on the beach we thought we’d stay to the coast. We enter and depart from Paris.
Malaga is a great place to stay, lots to see and do and easy to day trip as well. I recommend a day trip to Antequera if you like the smaller and less touristy towns. If the weather is acceptable El Torcal is spectacular.
