I love villages and costa brava looks amazing. Where in costa brava is best to stay for families with kids and how many days? I may want to stay 3 days in costa brava abd 3 days in Barcelona. I will have car. any suggestions?

How old are the children? And what time of year? Will you be there in beach weather?
We spent 1 night in Cadaques and 2 nights in Girona. I think young children will like Cadaques because of the beaches. It's a beautiful village located right on the Mediterranean. Narrow lanes, colorful flowers, coastal ambiance, delicious food. Dali's house in Port Lligat is very quirky and very interesting. I think young children with no knowledge of Dali will appreciate the house's quirkiness. There is a lovely natural park nearby for some easy walks and lovely views.
Girona is a medieval walled city with churches and museums and markets. Kids might enjoy walking the walls.

I hope you will not mind thousands of fellow tourists if heading to the Costa Brava in summer time. If you're good with crowds I'd suggest Tossa de Mar.
