Cordoba: when to return, change of Renfe tickets, restaurants

Hi,

I booked a day trip via Renfe from Seville to Cordoba 08:30am- 6:30pm on 4/13 then realized I overlooked the fact that most restaurants close between 4-8pm. I booked the flexible ticket that allows change once so after discussing with my family, we decided to change to 3:30pm but can’t do it on Renfe app or the website( the app doesn’t allow unless I change three people at a time; if I select four people, it says no direct route is available?; the website just no success). Don’t know if this is a known issue on the website.

Anyhow, those who did a day trip to Cordoba, can you share when you got to cordoba and left after completing your itinerary? I booked Mezquita at 10am and Alcazar at 1pm and no other plans. Is leaving at 6:30pm appropriate timeframe and should I consider searching for open tapa bars?

Also, if you can share your favorite restaurant in Cordoba much appreciated!

Why not just change them at the station in Cordoba when you’re ready to leave?

Cordoba is a lovely place for wandering around atmospheric medieval streets. You'll have plenty to keep you busy. Some of us have enjoyed spending multiple nights in Cordoba.

I don't quite understand the problem with a 6:30 PM departure from Cordoba (if that's what you currently have). Are you thinking about lunch? It's true that your sightseeing commitments may somewhat limit your food options before you go to the Alcazar. If you don't spend a great deal of time there, you'll be able to find lunch afterward, because meal hours in Spain are very late. If you get hungry at off hours while you're in Cordoba, I'm sure you can find somewhere casual to stop. You could head over toward the train station and check what's on offer at the Mercado Victoria: https://www.mercadovictoria.com/en/. There will be things to please all members of your family. It isn't inexpensive, so if you have ravenous teenagers to feed, that might not be your first choice.
