Greetings,
Has anyone been in Cordoba during the Battle of the Flowers?
We have planned an overnight trip to Cordoba from Sunday to Monday, April 28 to 29, 2024 - departing Madrid by train after RS Barcelona and Madrid tour ends "after breakfast" on Sunday). So, a morning train from Madrid to Cordoba (2 hrs). Have not made train reservations yet. The annual Battle of the Flowers parade is held that Sunday at noon and the route runs between the train station and our hotel in the Jewish Quarter - and looks like there are big crowds. We would like to see some of the parade. Wondering if it will be hard to get a taxi that morning? or if our bags/backpacks are light will it be walkable, or will crowds make the walk much longer than usual?
On another topic, any restaurants in Cordoba to recommend? Other sights/experiences you recommend in addition to the Mezquita and the Jewish Quarter?
Any recent on-the-ground observations or advice, appreciated.
Thanks!
