Conil, Jerez, Ronda or Cadiz for two day rest

We will be on a sightseeing tour of Spain. Hoping to take a break once we get to Seville. We will be coming from Seville to one of these places. We would be open to either a beach or an interior landscape - as long the nature is attractive and the spirit is low key. We go for mid-range places to stay. Don't need or want luxury. Would appreciate a sense of the comparison of what these places offer/are like. Or to cut down on travel, would you recommend staying in Seville for three days? Thank you.

Went to Spain last September and visited Barcelona, Fragiliana, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Granada, Ronda and Sevilla. The places I remember so fondly the most are Granada and Ronda. I wish we had more time in Ronda as we were there for only one night. Best meal we had in Spain, great bullring, stunning gorge. The whole trip was fantastic, but those 2 places stand out, if that helps.

Do you mean that you have just 3 total days to be split between Seville and your relaxation spot? I'd use all the time in Seville, possibly taking a day-trip to Cordoba. Seville is a large city with lots of attractions. One day there is really insufficient.

If you have three days total, then I too think that you should stay in Sevilla.

Will you have a car? What is the month of the trip? (Heat and air conditioning may be a budget factor.) What is the destination after Ronda or whatever? I see Jerez as a daytrip from Seville (because we avoid changing hotels unnecessarily.) Now, Carmona and Italica are perhaps too close to Seville, but it's a lovely, restful place, especially for foodies. If Seville is not a real objective, you could stay in Carmona and take a daytrip to Seville. (Not my recommendation, however.)

We stopped three nights in Ronda on the way by car from Seville to Granada, and it worked well for us. However, we had an active plan, including a daytrip to Gibraltar (which I now, do not recommend to others from Ronda.) I think our host, Rick Steves, would argue for Arcos de la Frontera as both less (!) touristy than Ronda, and more laid-back. I find it too remote to spend more than one night there, but that's an opinion.

When? Weather would play an important part in my decision. I haven't been to Conil. I didn't find Jerez particularly charming, but it was convenient for day trips to Arcos by bus and Cadiz by train. It's definitely low key. Cadiz is perhaps a little busier, but it has interesting sights and lots of attractive beach area along the Atlantic. Ronda is a sizable city with a pretty historic center and nice views. With a car, I'd choose Ronda, without a car, Cadiz.
