Confusion over "Paseo del Arte" tickets & timed entry to Prado

Hi everyone, I'm confused about these tickets. Rick Steves' Spain book calls it the "Paseo del Arte". We want to see all 3 museums. But I also see that if I try to just book a Prado ticket, there are only timed entry options. So my question is, if we buy a Paseo del Arte ticket in advance...does that just work in place of a timed entry ticket? Can we really just show up whenever with that, exchange it for the ticket voucher or whatever, and go in at any time?

Thanks!

I had bought timed entry tickets to the Prado online in advance but we still had to go to the ticket office to collect the ticket with the QR code as what I had was just an order number. I suspect you will need to do the same. You can skip the long line and just ask the attendants monitoring the lines near the ticket office and they will give you preference. The Prado is huge and you can easily spend an entire day there so wear comfortable shoes.

If you have a Paseo Del Arte ticket, you have to go to the ticket office, show your Paseo Del Arte ticket and they will give you a ticket for entry to the museum. You can't just go straight to the entrance to the museum. But, assuming there isn't a long line for museum tickets, it's not a big deal. I would still try to go when the museum is less crowded, like on a Sunday morning.
