We are flying into Bilbao on Christmas Day and staying in the Ercilla area. We're looking for simple, moderately priced Christmas lunch or dinner recommendations. Nothing fancy, ideally under $40 a person, but we're flexible. We understand many places will likely be closed, but most of the places I have found so far are well over $100 per person.

It´s already quite complicated to have a proper lunch for under 40eur a person on a vacation day in Bilbao, so for Christmas lunch I think it´s quite impossible. Lunch is (always) our main meal of the day, while dinner is normally quite irrelevant. Christmas day dinner will not be a thing, lunch is really big, very long...and we just do not have any dinner that day, or if anything, just a very light something. It´s a very familiar day, so few restaurants are open, just a very few and those in some hotels, and obviously at Christmas Day prices. Same for Christmas Eve dinner, which here starts around 10pm.
