Next December our family is planning an adventure with Spain as our base. The elders (Generation 1) have traveled quite a bit and are interested in finding a place for at least 3 weeks and doing day or short trips from there. Generation 2 has travel experience, but never been to Spain. They may stop in some other European Cities and spend a week with us. This trip also includes Generation 3 (ages 6 to 19). We are thinking about the Barcelona area as our base. Does anyone have thoughts on: 1) is Barcelona the best hub? 2) a local agency to work with to find housing either with multiple units or large enough for us all? 3) good day trips from Barcelona, 4) good Christmas activities for kids. We have read about the pooping log and love that. I have tried to get in touch with Amanda Buttinger, who was our RS guide in Spain, but haven't been able to connect. Any other guide suggestions in the area?
