Chamartin - Sala (1st Class) Lounge

Researching a future trip I came across this in a Renfe web page on Sala Club/Lounges - "Tickets obtained with Promo rate do not entitle the use of the Club Rooms." Does anyone have experience with this being enforced?

Assume it would be enforced. Each time we have used the lounge we have had to show our ticket on entering so I assume the ticket would be coded. You don't just walk in.
