Celebrating a Teen Birthday in Barcelona

We're planning a family trip to Italy and Spain this summer that we're very excited about. My oldest daughter will have just graduated high school and will be having her 18th birthday while we're in Barcelona. While I know just being in Barcelona will be an amazing way to spend a birthday, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions to make the day especially memorable for her.

We're vegetarian, and I've already researched some vegetarian restaurants for us to try, but I wonder if there is an especially great pasty shop for a cake, or some fun teen and young adult focused activities we should check out. (My kids will have seen many, many amazing museums by the time we get to Barcelona and might like a break.) Anything cool, trendy, or new related to pop culture, music, fun shops, etc. would be fantastic. Thank you!

Barcelona is arguably the confectionary capitol of the world. There's a legion of pastry chefs and dessert masters that have gotten their starts and have thrived in Barcelona.

Two places to consider:

Escriba - the legendary first of artful dessert shops, many Michelin-stared chefs have gotten their starts here.

Espaisucre - arguably the first dessert restaurant.

A concert at the Palau de la Musica Catalan. It's a ridiculously beautiful setting and there's a little cafe there.
