Cazalla de la Sierra and Sierra Morena de Sevilla

Has anyone gone up to the Sierra Morena area north of Sevilla? Or to Cazalla de la Sierra for the locally produced anise and cherry liqueurs?

My husband is into cocktails and I was wondering if this would be a fun day trip from Sevilla.

Thanks for any info!

The anise and cherry liqueurs from that region are quite unique, and I think your husband would love exploring them, especially if he's into cocktails. You could also enjoy the scenic drive and the charm of the area. If you're planning a day trip from Sevilla, I think it would make for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Looks easy enough to visit with a car:

"""Convento de Los Diezmos (Bodegas Miura)
This liqueur factory produces Miura Guindas, a sweet creamy wild morello cherry and aniseed liqueur which is served chilled. The factory is located in the old Convento de los Diezmos, a beautiful setting both in the patio and the salon. The venue is also popular for weddings, and there is a small museum. The company is now part of Grupo Caballero from El Puerto de Santa Maria, which also owns Lustau Sherry bodega. The guided tour, when available, costs 5€. Located at Calle Virgin del Monte 48.""""

And if you love violet candies, as I do..always buy them from La Campana in Sevilla, there's this, too:

Since I couldn't find too much information about the area, I appreciate both of your comments!
