A google will do you better than waiting for responses on here.
And if you are about to study at the Uni why are you not asking them for the assists?

To be honest, the international student advisor there has sent confusing responses when asked about 2 different locations. Once we are told that Gran Via is near the city centre but 2 other students who have lived there tell us del Mar is closest to the center. We have looked at maps on line of Castellon, but have yet to find Gran Via. We cannot get more infomation from the student advisor who told us to look at google maps. Sorry for using this forum to ask this question but were not getting helpful information from the student advisors.

'Gran Via' will almost certainly be Gran Vía de Tàrrega Monteblanco. 'del Mar' probably Avenida del Mar. Depending on where the accommodation is, on these two long(ish) streets, seems to me both or either could be, whether for the Uni or the centre.

I zoomed in on a google map, and although difficult to read, i do see Gran Via de Terrega Monteblanco which appears to run north-south-ish along the city center while Avenida del Mar runs west-east from the center to the port/sea area. We were only given 2 partial street names, so thanks for clarifying this which now makes sense.
