Car/Van Service Lourdes, France to San Sebastián

Hello Looking for one-way transportation in July from Lourdes, France to San Sebastián, Spain for four adults. Could you please recommend a reliable car service?

Thank you!

I have a couple of suggestions. First is Taxi and Touring ala Carte. It is run by Christophe and his wife and I found them in the RS France book. We used them last year for a couple of transfers and a day of sightseeing in Bordeaux and Sarlat. Their service is top notch and I cannot recommend them enough. Christophe told us that he provides transfers through the continent. Second suggestion is Daytrip.com. I used them for a couple of transfers in Spain last April. The service was punctual and the drivers were very nice. They will even make stops if you want to sightsee along the way, however, they will not guide you like Christophe would. The service is not limited to Spain so check their website.

Hi Badger yes we have. This requires making changes and according to my sister it’s more expensive. I’ll give it a second look. Thanks!

Yes, you'd need to change in Hendaye and maybe somewhere else as well. But changing trains is not hard, people do it all the time without problems. And regarding the cost, I believe your sister is wrong. Looking at SNCF's site for a few random dates I see direct trains from Lourdes to Hendaye for as little as €16.50. Even if you want another departure with a change, they rarely cost more than €25-30. To that you have add the cost of the train from Hendaye to San Sebastian/Donostia, which cost €2.90 (fixed price). I'd be very surprised if you're able to find someone willing to drive you from Lourdes to San Sebastian/Donostia for less than €80.

This is a two-hour drive, with an empty return, and high gasoline costs. It can't possibly be done for as little as 80 Euros. (No personal experience with car service in France.)

Fwiw, the Lourdes Tourism office will also have a listing of available taxi services.
I am done. The end
