I am over 75 and want to rent a car in Andalucia, Spain, to drive through the white hill towns. I keep seeing info on car rental sites that people over 70 may have extra regulations or extra charges, but they never say how much money or what extra rules. Does anyone have experience with this?
Not all car rental agencies care if the renter is 75.
Check www.AutoEurope.com because they tie in to a number of the large car rental companies. They also often discount the rates off what the car rental companies rates are on their websites.
We rent with Sixt often when in Spain. My partner is in his late 70s and we have never had a problem. I love that German company! We will e renting again with them next month, in Valencia.
76 years young here. Just got back from Spain 2 weeks ago. Rented a car from Avis in Zaragoza no problemo. Brad
We too, both over 70, have rented a car in Spain 3 times in the last 5 years…most recently with Hertz. There were no issues, no questions asked, no extra charges.
