Car Rental pick up in Segovia, drop off in Toledo---- need advice please

I would appreciate advice on our plans .
We want to take a train to Segovia then we want to stay one night then rent a car and visit close by towns. We will end up in Toledo where we will drop off the car and then take the train back to Madrid so we can catch the high speed train to Barcelona.

My problem is that I am having an issue renting a car in Segovia. I go on the website and when I enter Segovia it goes blank saying' no cars available for this are' I went into the 3 rental companies that pulled up for Spain, Europcar, Avis and Hertz

I really thought this plan was the best. I did not want to deal with a car in Madrid at all. I do want to drive in the countryside just for a few days before heading to Barcelona

Are you trying to rent a car outside opening hours? The agencies in Segovia are closed on Sunday for sure, and perhaps on Saturdays too, and around lunchtime.
If you cannot work around that, rent a car in Madrid. There are several offices around Plaza de España: from there, you just drive straight on on Calle Princesa and you are on the A6 to Segovia. It is manageable.

I never thought of that ..April 21 is a Sunday.. SO Segovia Car rental is closed...!!

Not sure what your itinerary is prior to Segovia and after Toledo, but each is only and hour from Madrid’s airport. If you like castles, there are plenty in the Segovia area.
