Canadians in Spain

Hi

My wife and I will be heading to Spain next month and am wondering if any Canadians have been to Spain recently and if so what is was like showing your proof of vaccination status? Any issues with people not accepting it?
We are both vaxxed with boosters from approved manufacturers so all good on that front.

Thanks
Angelo

Hi
We are in spain now and had no issues. We traveled by air France and the airline sent us an email asking us to upload vaccination status ( canada issued) not the Provincial one, and the spain sph form which can be fully completed 24 hours prior and u get a qr code. The code comes within an hour. This code needs to be uploaded as well. We also had a hard copy just in case. Note that u will have to had a booster shot as well to be considered fully vaccinated.

Spain doesn't ask for proof of vaccination to enter—the form/app asks for dates of shots and a statement that you're telling the truth. When the resulting QR code is scanned a the airport's health control station you might be asked for the underlying documents. I think is random, and I was only asked once across three trips.

For a while, some of Spain's Autonomous Communities had regulations for bars/restaurants/venues to check for vaccine passes, but I'm pretty sure that's been dropped everywhere.

I'm in Spain now and had no issues. Just had to show my Spanish health QR code at the airport on arrival.
