I am trying to figure out parking for the hike on the Camanito del Rey. My understanding is:
You can park your car at the southern exit (of the CDR) in a parking lot somewhere close to the El Chorro train station, and catch the bus to the northern entrance. My question is: does the bus drop you off at the "el Kiosko" where you enter a tunnel to start the access hike to reach the entry cabin where you show your ticket and get your helmet? Is the hike from the tunnel to the ticket place about a 30 min. hike?
Next question: I want to park at the north end parking lot, because I want to possibly get a 9:30 entry ticket. If I am understanding this correctly, and due to bus scheduling, one couldn't park in the southern parking lot near the train station because you won't make your scheduled entry time. The busses don't start leaving that lot until 9am.
I saw one northern parking lot, that on Google said was a 7 min. walk to the "El Kiosko." Do the busses go to these parking lots or do they just go to the "El Kiosko?" Even if they only go back to El Kiosko, It would be fine cause it's only a 7 minute walk back to the lot.
I ask all of this because the day we want to go, the 11, 11:30 slots are sold out and even if they weren't, we still want to start early and I need help with timing of everything.
