Calm Places for Holidays with Family close to Mallorca airport

Hi,

I am new ro this forum ans it is great to Joint this travel community.

As a start, I have a short question. We want to spend ten days in Mallorca. We means my 3 year old so'n, my wife and me. IT shall be calm, relaxing Holidays at the sea.

Since we do not want to travel to much, it would be great to be close to the airport but I know that Palma ist one of the party hotspots on Mallorca.

Do you noch any calm cities close to the beach and close to the airport suitable for Family Holidays?

In addition, If so, can you recommend Hotels, airbnbs,....?

Palma is the only city in Mallorca, the rest of the island consists of towns and villages of varying sizes.

How close do you want to be to the airport? Will you have a car or rely on public transport and taxis?

I can't offer any advice regarding hotels as we always stay at our timeshare in Llucmajor and have been visiting for over 20 years so know the island well.

Palma itself is a lovely city, not a party destination and well worthy of anyone’s time, but it’s probably not ideal for a 3 year old. There are a number of beach resorts close to the city and some of those are party central for younger people from Northern Europe. Can Pastilla is right by the airport, has a lovely beach and is a relaxed place. But it’s not where I would recommend for 10 days with a young child. If you can get over your desire to be close to the airport I would recommend Port de Pollensa. It has a beautiful location with a lovely beach for children and plenty of good accommodation and restaurants. It’s in the north west of the island, about an hour or so from the airport.

JC - I expect we go to the same timeshare resort near Llucmajor. It’s over 20 years we have been going there. We were there for February half term with our 3 year old granddaughter!

I suspect it is! We love it there and are back for two weeks in June. How lovely to be there with your granddaughter. Our eldest was her age when we first stayed there and we fell in love with the place. I'm noticing more and more visitors from the US which may be as a result of direct flights operated by United from Newark.
