I'll be in the Andalucia region in October and I want to see the ocean on this visit?
What town would the forum members suggest?
Cadiz, Malaga or Nerja?

Technically, only Cadiz is by the ocean. The other two are by the Mediterranean Sea. Malaga and Nerja are somewhat close to each other and combined, they offer more than Cadiz. It just depends on the amount of time you have to visit.
thanks.... i think i'll skip Cadiz.... i saw a lots of photos and videos.... it looks very pretty.... but i don't think it will fit into my itinerary......
I just noticed its Feria de Nerja on the dates I'll be in the area.... does Nerja get too crazy and crowded during the event?
I was in Malaga and I am in Nerja now.
Both towns are pretty but Nerja is more cozy. It's a small town. But if the festival is happening, it could be over-crowded.
You can take a bus from Malaga to Nerja for about 6 Euro (make sure to decline the "optional" travelers insurance which is automatically included) and you can buy tickets at http://alsa.es/en/home
When you are in Nerja, make sure to visit the cave in the neighboring town. You need to reserve a visit time. You can do that online at http://cuevadenerja.es/en/nerja-cave/ . It includes transportation on a "train", which isn't really a train, from Nerja.
